EPC2152-issue on startup

Hi,

I have an issue with my design involving the EPC2152. I believe the component is irreversibly damaged. It is part of a buck converter, and according to the datasheet, all voltage and current values are within the correct range.

However, I have some doubts about the LSin and HSin signals. I applied 0V to HSin and 3.3V to LSin “before” supplying 12V to VDD. Could this procedure have damaged the component?

Were you able to identify the cause of the damaged EPC2152? If so, what led to the failure and how did you resolve the issue?

Hello all,
we just discovered that the issue was caused by using the old ENGRT parts that are still available on Digikey. Those are old parts that miss the anti cross conduction logic, and this might explain the failures. Please order the “EPC2152”, see below!
