Using GaN Fet EPC2367 with the LM51772

When is a negative gate drive requiered? Can I use the EPC2367 with the LM51772?
As I have read the FET is immune up to 50V/ns which the gate driver of the LM51772 should not be able to reach. Can you give me confirmation that a negative gate drive is not needed?
Is there any more protection of the gate drive required? The LM51772 has a integrated bootstrap overvoltage protection.

Hi Lucky, EPC GaN FETs do not need a negative gate voltage to turn off nor to hold off. EPC2367 has Qgd of 2.4 nC and Qgssth of 3.8 nC. That means that you will never get to threshold with even, when starting at 0 V, an infinite dv/dt and a high gate drive impedance.
All of our demonstrations drive the gates to 5 Vgs for on and 0 Vgs for off. The demos are also great examples for low inductance layout. We recommend using them as a basis for your design
