Can I access the Altium files for EPC90123 development board?
I am trying to build a PCB prototype for my college project on inverters for 6.78MHz WPT, and I want to modify the PCB layout to make it into a full bridge.
I had already used two of these boards with an external load network on a veroboard, and my goal is to integrate everything into a single PCB.
I sent a request via Ask form last week but no replies yet.
Any support will be appreciated.
GaN FETs can switch at even higher frequency, no problem.
But as you have about 100 mA of gate consumption per FET (total 1W at 5V supply), it might be a thermal problem for the gate driver or the gate resistors.
Once the temperatures are kept under control, you should be fine.
Also, if you operate at 50% duty, the implemented active bootstrap (GaN based, so no reverse recovery) will help. You need to populate R60 to use the external bootstrap circuit.
However, the board has been proven to work up to 4 MHz, with at least 200 ns low state. See table. Out from this specs it might work, but not guaranteed.
Hope this clarifies.
