How do GaN FETs fail in over voltage and over temperature conditions?
In over voltage or over temperature conditions, GaN FETs soft fails with the RDS(on) increasing beyond specifications. If unresolved over time, and on resistance continues to increase and current continues to pump the power dispensing device will eventually fail in a short circuit.
